Last Wednesday was World Gratitude Day, and although we saw very little celebration on social media regarding World Gratitude Day, we felt we’d continue the gratitude vibes and make GRATITUDE this week’s main topic for each episode and blog post of Abundant You TV!!

Keep A Gratitude Journal
A Gratitude Journal is simply a place for you to journal about the things you are grateful for.
The life you live today is largely created by how you’ve allowed the people, environment and your experiences to influence the decisions you make in pursuit of your goals and dreams.
Your life, as it is today, is a direct result of the decisions you’ve made in the past in pursuit of your goals and dreams. Those decisions led to experiences which in turn created the life you now live.
If you are dissatisfied with your current circumstance and want to achieve much better results, you have to make better decisions that will result in the quality of life you want for yourself. The best way to do this is through gratitude journaling.
Gratitude journaling helps you trade your expectations or negative beliefs regarding your current life’s circumstances, and changes them into appreciation. The act of changing your expectations, worry, stress and fears into appreciation enables you to shift into a much more positive and beautiful state.

The benefits of a gratitude journal are life-changing and numerous.
Gain a better perspective of the abundance you already have and what is most important to you.
When you are in a beautiful state, it’s impossible to experience worry, stress and fear.
Gain greater clarity and focus on things you want to have more of in life.
Gain greater insight into yourself and become more self-aware.
Always be in a good mood and beautiful state which leads to a great day, every day.
Maintaining a prolonged state of gratitude has been shown to improve your health.
Make more intelligent decisions to move you forward toward your goals and dreams.
Gratitude is a great way to increase your confidence so you can act in spite of fear.
Gratitude Journaling: How To
Using your gratitude journal is a fairly simple and easy process. The most important thing to know and understand is that in order for you to use it to successfully change your life, you must be consistent at it.
Write in your gratitude journal every morning or every night or both if you prefer.
The key is to do it consistently. Find a time where you can sit quietly and write without distraction for the best results. This allows you to reflect and identify more things to be grateful for with greater clarity.
Aim to write down 5 to 10 things you are grateful for each day. You can write more if you want.
Remember this is a daily practice so don’t try and be grateful for everything all at once and don’t put to much pressure on yourself. Just have fun and express yourself freely.
It doesn’t need to be detailed, a simple “I am grateful for the $0.35 cents I found on the street today” or “Thank you for the time I spent with my family today” will do.
Nothing is off limits. You’ll be more willing to keep the effort up if you keep it short, simple and meaningful.
Close your eyes after each item and say it to yourself quietly, then say “thank you” 3 times while allowing yourself to fully experience the joy of the moment.
Injecting feelings and emotion puts the law of attraction into motion for you and makes the process much more powerful.
